Career Center Services for UCSC Affiliates

The UCSC Career Center is primarily devoted to providing student employment, internship opportunities and career services to our students and alumni. However, the Center is pleased to offer some basic services to affiliates of the University. The affiliates include: UCSC staff & faculty, UCSC Extension students, and spouses of UCSC faculty, staff, and students. The fee for these services is $100.00 for any three-month period. Please phone or drop-by the Center for more information. Prospective students are more than welcome to attend a free Drop-In Advising session.

  • Job & Internship Listings through monsterTRAK and NACElink
UCSC is contracted with monsterTRAK and NACElink to manage job listings and internships. Job seekers may search the database 24 hours a day, upload and post resumes online and access numerous career resources. Job listings may be viewed at monsterTRAK.com and NaceLink.com. Please note that part-time off-campus jobs and internship database (via the Career Center web site) are restricted to current students only.

  • Career Advising
Professional career advisers are available through our Drop-In Advising Program or by individual appointment. Advisers can assist with choosing a major, applying to graduate/professional school, creating a resume, interviewing skills, selecting an internship, career assessment and the job search process. Check the Career Center's Career News for advising hours.

  • Career Workshops
Career workshops are available on Resume & Cover Letter Writing, Job Interviewing Techniques, Graduate School Application Process, Selecting an Internship, and Job Search Techniques, they are offered each quarter. In addition, watch the Career Center's Career News for special focus workshops dealing with specific career and/or majors.

  • Career Resource Library and Computer Lab
A comprehensive library is available to students on topics dealing with career assessment, the job search, interviewing, resume development, graduate school, internships and specific career fields. The computer lab allows clients to apply online for jobs and search career resource materials.
