ARCenter
Facilities Use Guidelines

The ARCollaborative welcomes utilization of the ARCenter facilities.

ARCenter hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM except when a special activity has been authorized.

Requests for using ARCenter space will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Scheduling priority will be given to activities that enhance the mission of the ARCollaborative. Activities scheduled in the ARCenter space must be guided by principles and purposes which are in keeping with the ARCollaborative’s academic support mission.

Scheduled activities in the ARCenter must conform to all relevant University of California and UCSC regulations and policies including the Policy on Use of University Property. (See Section 40.00 – 42.00 of the UCSC Student Policies and Regulations Handbook.)

In order to use the ARCenter outside of regular operating hours, groups or individuals must have a UCSC faculty or staff member sponsor who will attend the event and assume responsibility for the facility. All set-up, clean-up and equipment rental costs are the responsibility of the user. ARCenter furniture can be reconfigured for events but must be returned to its original layout position. To view a check list for room furniture set-up click on the respective room layout below. ARCenter does not provide: media services, room furniture set-up and/or clean up or breakdown services, or extra trashcans for large events. Therefore all responsibility for room set up, clean up and condition will be the responsibility of the reserving group or individuals. Additional costs may be incurred for clean up (including returning furniture to original set-up) or repair of facilities or furniture.

ARCenter space requests may be submitted up to one quarter in advance of the event’s date. ARCenter space may be reserved only after the first two weeks of any given quarter in order to permit ARCenter units to use the building for start of the quarter academic support activities. A minimum of two weeks of lead-time is recommended for scheduling requests.

The list below includes a description of each reservable space and the conditions for use. Click on the name of the space to see a detailed layout and picture of the space. A new page will open.
