The Department of Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz, invites applications for one or more temporary positions beginning in the 2004-05 academic year, pending available funding. Positions are available from one to three quarters. Ability to teach in one or more of the following areas is required: microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, applied micro, applied macro, money and banking, intermediate and advanced accounting.. Teaching may be at lower or upper-division undergraduate and graduate levels.
RANK: Lecturer. Duties are primarily teaching and/or advising students.
SALARY: Approximately $5,707 - $6,559 per course for a lecturer, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment contingent upon availability of funding.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Lecturer for general economics courses: A.B.D. or Ph.D. or equivalent
in economics or related field.
Lecturer for accounting courses: CPA, MA, MBA, or Ph.D. or equivalent
in economics, business, or related field.
Experience in teaching undergraduates and graduate students. Candidates will be evaluated on their demonstrated ability to teach and advise students.
