STUDENT LOANS

UC Santa Cruz offers many loans, including UC University Loans, Federal Perkins Loans, and William D. Ford Direct Loans. All loans are awarded by the UCSC Office of Financial Aid as a part of a student's financial aid package. If your financial aid package includes a loan, you will receive an official award letter from the UCSC Financial Aid Office including a loan promissory note, information on required loan entrance interviews, and other processing information.

Applications for all loans must be filed at the UCSC Office of Financial Aid. Contact the Financial Aid Office for up to date information on all loan requirements.

Upon separation from UCSC your Perkins, University, and GTSRS loans are handled through the Student Business Services office. You can also visit the ACS Borrower Services website to update your address, make payments, or review your loan status.

All direct loan inquiries must go through the Direct Loans website or by phone 1-800-848-0979.

All Perkins loan inquiries must go through ACS Borrower Services website.
