Academic Excellence Program (ACE)
Seeks to diversify the fields of science, math, and engineering by assisting students in obtaining their bachelors.
ACE provides discussion sections in entry-level mathematics, calculus, and both general and organic chemistry. For

California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP)
Assists underrepresented students with majors in science, math and engineering obtain their degree. The program offers
trips, collaborative learning, conferences, and faculty mentorship.
Chancellor Undergraduate Internship Program (CUIP)
Undergraduates work on campus projects, gain professional experience and take a course on leadership and institution building.
Education Abroad program (EAP)
Gives students an opportunity to travel to 33 countries and study long or short term. Offering language classes, internships
and course work for major or general requirements.
Education Opportunity program (EOP)
The Educational Opportunity porgrams (EOP) represents the University of California's effort to identify, retain, and graduate
a diverse student body. With that in mind, the mission of the Education Opportunity Program is to promote the retention,
academic success, and graduation rates of first generation college, low-income, and educationally disadvantaged student
populations, and to assist these students with preparation for admission to graduate and professional schools. For more

Ethnic Student Organizational Council (ESOC)
The organization strives for cultural collaboration and cultural awarness among UCSC's diverse community. ESOC provides
services in retention and outreach.
Engaging Education (e2)
e2 is a student-run, student-initiated center that will specifically address UCSC's low outreach and retention rates,

Faculty Mentorship Programs
Undergraduates work side by side with a faculty memeber, are involved with a faculty project, and earn course credits.
Graduate Internship Program (GIP)
Offers academic and career advice on campus resources, and creating social networks.
Minority Access to Research Careers/Minority Biomedical Research Support (MARC/MBRS)
MBRS is an eight-week summer training for students interested in the field of biology and chemistry. Once successfully
complteded, students move into research working with faculty memebers in MARC.
UCDC
Offers UCSC students an internship in Washington D.C. for 12 weeks. Students take on course, earn credit and
